“Atlas Grazing helps you see how your livestock are tracking, and how your paddocks are responding, so your next move can be backed by clear records" - Bart Davidson

Livestock producers will soon be able to spot pressure building sooner and act before grazing decisions become urgent or expensive, thanks to an innovative livestock and land management platform unveiled today at the Wilmot Field Day at Hernani, near Ebor in Northern NSW.

Built from hands-on grazing experience, Atlas Grazing is a tool for all producers, whether they simply want to spend more time in the paddock and less in the office, or need a powerful platform with advanced grazing insights for scenario planning so they can make early moves with confidence.

Unveiling the platform on Day 1 of a sold-out Wilmot Field Day, Atlas Ag Founder and CEO, Ashley Silver, said Atlas Grazing was built to arm producers with better visibility of the data and trends surrounding their livestock, land and team.

“At Atlas, we’ve worked alongside livestock producers for over a decade learning what farm data is required to support and guide the decisions that drive results,” Ms Silver said.

“We understand that margins are tighter; markets and climate are more variable; and that the pressure has increased.  “So, we’ve designed Atlas Grazing to support and strengthen the daily decisions producers need to make that can impact their business in the short and long run.”

Livestock producers are constantly having to balance numerous factors like where and when to move animals, how many animals to run, and how much feed is ahead of them.

Running the optimal number of animals for the right length of time can help increase overall farm production over time.

With every feature shaped by real decisions that need to be made season after season, Atlas Grazing brings livestock, paddocks, rainfall and jobs into one clear view so producers always know where things stand and what needs attention.

For over 10 years, Atlas Ag’s former grazing software, the well-known MaiaGrazing, has helped thousands of producers over millions of acres to better understand and graze their land. Now, Atlas Grazing builds on that legacy to deliver a comprehensive new offering that helps all producers have better clarity in the paddock.

The Wilmot property is the birthplace of MaiaGrazing, and Atlas Ag’s Chief Grazing Officer Bart Davidson, was there 10 years ago when a group of innovative people saw the need for better solutions to record keeping than whiteboards and notebooks.

Speaking at Wilmot Field Day this year, Mr Davidson said Atlas Grazing was built on this deep understanding of the power of informed grazing decisions to impact livestock and overall business performance.

“As graziers trying to make decisions in the best interest of our land, animals, and bank accounts, what we really need is a crystal ball. Until that’s an option, we rely on our lived experience, data, records, and understanding of the land to help us make informed decisions every day,” Mr Davidson said.

“By making it really simple to see what’s happening across your operation, Atlas Grazing makes it easier to make better calls in the paddock.

“It helps you see how your livestock are tracking, and how your paddocks are responding, so your next move can be backed by clear records and not just memory.”
